In Romania in the village of S\u0103p\u00e2n\u0163a, not too far from the Ukrainian border, there is the Merry Cemetery inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are about 800 brightly blue colored tombstones as a sign of hope and freedom. \u00a0There are other symbolic colors like yellow which symbolizes the Sun and red as a symbol of \u00a0passion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every tombstone bears an image and darkly humorous poems related to the deceaseds life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first tomb of the cemetery was adorned by Stan Ioan Patras in 1935.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
