It provides the bridge between activities and linked services. IR provides the following capabilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Data flow<\/strong> &#8211; Execute any Data flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Data movement<\/strong> &#8211; Copy data across stores in a public or private network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Activity dispatch<\/strong> &#8211; Dispatch and monitor transformation activities on a variety of computing services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SSIS packages execution<\/strong> &#8211; Execute SSIS packages in an Azure environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Types of IR<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three types of IR:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Azure<\/strong> &#8211; Data flow, Data movement and Activity dispatch<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Self-hosted <\/strong>&#8211; Data movement and Activity dispatch<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Azure-SSIS<\/strong> &#8211; SSIS package execution<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to create a Integration Runtime<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Open Azure Data Factory Studio and choose manage, then choose Integration runtimes and then click New. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"516\" height=\"281\" src=\"http:\/\/ajankowski.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IR-creation.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-353\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ajankowski.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IR-creation.png 516w, https:\/\/ajankowski.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IR-creation-300x163.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 516px) 100vw, 516px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose the Integration runtime type and Continue at the bottom of the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"454\" height=\"309\" src=\"http:\/\/ajankowski.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IR-creation-choose-types.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ajankowski.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IR-creation-choose-types.png 454w, https:\/\/ajankowski.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IR-creation-choose-types-300x204.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 454px) 100vw, 454px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the example I have chosen Azure, Self-Hosted. Next I have chosen Azure.
